You know the summer is almost over when it’s time for the state fair. The Maryland State Fair is a wonderful family event no matter what your age is. There are rides for small and big kids. If you don’t like the rides, you can see the animals. The 4-H has lots of animals on display as well as the large farm animals in the Cow Palace. And the food! Who doesn’t love fair food?! The fair always has lots of entertainment, including concerts. This year’s headliners are Hailstorm and Sabrina Carpenter.

How to Hire a Moving Company

Monthly Item of Value: How to Hire a Moving Company

how to hire a moving company part of july e-reportIt is important to know how to hire a moving company before making the big move. The company you hire can make a difference in whether your move goes smoothly or not. Do your homework before you make a commitment.

Ask around, friends, coworkers, family members, and find out what companies they used and how it worked for them. Knowing a person who has had personal experience is always helpful.

Get a written, digital or paper, estimate before moving forward. An estimate is just that, but it’s a good guide.

Do some online research. Read revues, check out their credentials. Make an informed decision.

Learn all about hiring a moving company with my monthly item of value for July.

As a handywoman I am always reading various magazines on new products and trends in building and construction. Recently I was surprised to read in my Green Builder magazine about how rare it is to find a green building material made in America.

Green Builder magazine sent out an invitation to over 2,000 companies encouraging them to share information about their American-made green products, receiving only a few dozen submissions.
