The weather was hot, so it was a good day for some shaved ice. While Kona Ice has trucks that will come to you, we met at the Parkville permanent location where there are picnic tables for people to congregate.

In the past year, it’s been tough to have in-person events so this event was a par...

2020 Pie Party Celebration at St. Ursula’s Church

  • 2020 Pie Party, I'm grateful for you

Happy Thanksgiving! My 2020 Pie Party was a drive-through event.

Every pie party is a little different from the last, but this year the pandemic has changed how we do everything. However, I still wanted to thank my clients for their support and business over the years.

Pandemic aside, the drive-through pie party was a success. I planned to have a tent outside, but the weather would not cooperate. St. Ursula’s Church was kind enough to let me use their vestibule because it was so windy.

Unlike other years, many people chose to stay at home...

Donut Day

Since we couldn’t get together in person to enjoy some donuts, I sent clients a donut making kit for Donut Day!

I love having events where my clients get together to share pies at Thanksgiving, ice cream or snow cones in the summer and other fun food tastings. However, this year I had to change it up because of COVID-19 and socially distancing. At the time of the Donut Day event, there was only carry out available.

Since we couldn’t get together and have donuts, I decided to send the donuts to my clients...

Moveable Feast Volunteering Event

  • moveable feast volunteers

Thanks to all of my clients and business partners who attended my Moveable Feast Volunteering Event over the weekend. We enjoyed the time spent working for a good cause.

Moveable Feast serves people who have a critical and life threatening illness. In addition, these people have trouble accessing, affording or preparing appropriate meals for themselves. All of the meals are delivered right to the people in need. They delivered over 700,000 meals in 2017!

We volunteered as Kitchen Assistants for the afternoon and helped the organization with all aspects of the meals. We helped with packaging, labeling, and sorting, chopping and seasoning the meals...
