Donut Day

Since we couldn’t get together in person to enjoy some donuts, I sent clients a donut making kit for Donut Day!

I love having events where my clients get together to share pies at Thanksgiving, ice cream or snow cones in the summer and other fun food tastings. However, this year I had to change it up because of COVID-19 and socially distancing. At the time of the Donut Day event, there was only carry out available.

Since we couldn’t get together and have donuts, I decided to send the donuts to my clients...

What do you love most about your new home?

All the extra space! Moving from a townhouse to a single family home, basically doubled the square footage of our house. The large master suite is a nice perk too.

If you could sum up your experience in one word what would that be?  Why?

Fast. We only toured two houses before making an offer. The online tools Gigi gave us helped us to narrow down our search as we already knew the area we wanted to live in. Selling our townhouse was also surprisingly fast, we had an offer within a week. Again, the tools and suggestions Gigi and her team gave us about getting our house ready to sell made the process easier...

organizing for taxes

Get Organized for Taxes

It’s that time of year again – tax season. Tax time can be stressful for many people because they are not as organized as they should be. If you do your own taxes or if someone else does them, you still need to have your paperwork together.

Of course, throughout the year, we hope you were tucking away those receipts, pay stubs and W-2 forms for easy retrieval. Simply by putting everything in one location you will save time when you get ready to prepare your tax return. If you didn’t do that last year, get a box set up for this year where you can put all of your paper receipts.

If you pay bills online, you have confirmation emails, online banking statements, etc. All of those can be put in folders on your computer to keep it organized for tax season.

Check out our monthly item of valu...

Yes, you have either fingerprint recognition or a code to get into your phone, but how secure is it? Did you know that most phones will allow you to make a code that is more than four digits?

Your phone and your computer are both at stake here. Learn about how to protect your personal information and keep it from people who want to steal both your money and identity.

On your computer, use a combination of numbers, letters and characters in order to make the password more secure. Many websites will let you know if your password is weak or strong. Take their advice and make them as strong as possible.
